Dec. 5, 2007  --  These are of our Snow Day, just a typical (?) winter day on the farm!  This snow day is the result of two back-to-back "weather events."  The first was about 6 six inches of snow, but followed by rain/sleet/ice.  The snow fell first, then the rain/sleet came, covering the snow with a crusty hard layer of ice.  You could walk on the ice, right over the snow, and not break through.  Then, a day later, we got another 6 inches of snow, on top of that ice.  Roads were hazardous, thus the snow day. But it made for some pretty scenery and pictures!
