Married Martha Bowker on Nov. 30, 1704; they resided in Marlboro, Mass.

Martha was the daughter of John Bowker, who was early in Marlboro.  He was possibly son of Edward of Dorchester and married Mary Howe.  The name “Bowker” is said to be of Swedish origin, and is often spelled Bouker.  Martha was born Mar. 6, 1685.  The will of John Forbush was proved in 1731, and his widow, Martha, was appointed administrator.  Only two children are mentioned in the will: a son, John, and a daughter, Martha:

1. John, born Nov. 5, 1710; married Eunice Houghton

ii. Martha, born May 25, 1714;  married Jan. 23, 1734, John Gold or Gould.  They resided in Marlboro, Mass, and had two children:  
Anna, born April 15, 1734 and Martha, born Jan. 25, 1736.
