I graduated from the University of Wisconsin--Stevens Point in 1978 with a BS degree in Elementary Education. I am Wisconsin state certified in grades K through 8, with a lifetime license. My teaching history includes 9 years as a 1st grade teacher, 4 years teaching kindergarten, and the remainder as a substitute teacher.
My Philosophy of Education: I feel children learn best when their unique characteristics are respected and considered, when they are involved in learning activities that are meaningful to them and challenge their developmental levels. My classroom thus becomes an environment designed to allow meaningful exploration, stimulate the excitement and love of learning, and build positive self-image, thereby developing successful, life-long learners.
