iPhoto has an easy email option. Go to "Share" in the menu bar, then to "Email."
| Clicking on "Email" brings up this box:
From here you can choose the size by clicking the little blue arrows. The resolution will automatically be changed to 72PPI. Click on Compose, and it will prepare your picture for you and insert it into a new mail message: |
You will need only fill in the recipients address. The picture file name is inserted automatically into the "Subject" line. The file size is displayed for you at the bottom. |
You can send more than one picture at a time this way. Hold Shift down
while clicking on the first picture, it will be highlighted. Now, continue
to hold the shift down and click on the last picture. The first, the last,
and everything in-between will be selected. Click on Share/Email and the
Mail Photo box will appear, with the number of selected pictures shown by Photo
Count. Clicking the Compose button will prepare them for the email, and
the subject will say 6 (or whatever the number of pictures chosen) Great i-Photos!
All the pictures will be shown in the email. Pay attention to the file
size of the email (on the bottom left). If all the pictures make the email
file size too big, delete some of the pictures and send them in a second
email. Try to keep the email file size under 500 K.
